It makes use of another world’s technology, appearing to be the lastest cluster of technology. However, what ever that meant to Kizuna, he did not understand it well. What he did understand is the small capsule like object, called the Core, has been embedded surgically(install) inside of his own body. And, it could be said that because of the Core’s power, an armour-like cool Protector and armament could be worn on his body. Also the only thing that could be said is when he made experiments with it, mother was delighted.
“The only one in the world waiting for Heart Hybrid Gear is you, you know? The results of this experiment will become the key to save the world.”
Mother has been relying on that pride.
She was proud of being called the world’s only Heart Hybrid Gear owner.
Being helpful to mother made me happy.
Somewhat like a pretend Hero.
―So then, one day,
“Who is that?”
In the laboratory, a girl was carried in on a stretcher .
“It looks like particles. It has been discovered by Tokyo.”

The size of a Megafloat represents the national strength of the country, and every reputable country has its own Megafloat floating in the world’s oceans.
The countries of the world who have lost their land, even now, their Megafloat becomes the country, all of the land. The crew and residents of the megafloat, current condition’s safety can confirmed by all the citizens. With Megafloats moving around on the world’s oceans, having territorial waters makes no sense. A world map also no longer exists.
Everything that has changed in the world began on that day.
―1st Another Universe Conflict.
15 years ago, without any sign, without any notice, it suddenly happened. In North America, South America, Russia, China, Australia, South Africa, and France, Entrances (Conflict Surface) to another universe appeared. And from there a fusion of Sorcery and Science, magic weapons appeared. Even now, which made the first move is not known. But the fact it became a combat condition would not be incorrect. The countries which had been invaded by the other world discarded their land for the Megafloats which drift above the oceans, moving countries. However, the citizens that are not on Megafloat left the old land behind. There is no way to know what happened to those people now. Whether they were all killed, or live safely under the enemy’s control, the state of the original country is not known. Even when trying to contact land, radios have been cut off and no communication can be made.
When closer to the home country, because the other world’s magic weapons and fleet appear, their safety can not be checked, nor can it be carelessly approached.
The people who live on the Megafloat, while in the safety zone on the ocean saying good bye to their peaceful lives, hope to take back their home country, to help the people left behind and return to their own cities and homes.
The linear subway passed through Tokyo Station.
I don’t know about underground, but above ground, constructed from the original Japan, there should be a Tokyo Station station building.
It was planned to make use of each prefecture’s feature during construction, each respective region’s famous building was relocated as to reproduce the landscape.

The Linear Motor Car was on the ocean traveling across a long bridge. In front of that bridge, Kizuna’s destination came into view. This special Float, separated from Megafloat Japan. Surrounding it is wall like buildings. 360 degrees, protruding in every direction are rapid-fire guns and missiles. It certainly has the atmosphere of a fortress.
――Strategic Defense Academy Ataraxia.
The independent float is approximately 3 km float, and is also one of the oldest floats.
Each float district includes unmanned city defense feature, but basically Megafloat Japan’s defense is shouldered by this Ataraxia.

When crossing the border, people without permits are forbidden from entering Ataraxia.
The receptionist was not a person, but rather a three dimensional CG character. The pink haired girl (bishoujo) spoke with a synthesized voice exceedingly close to that of a human’s.
“Confirmed. Japan, Strategic Defense School Ataraxia moving in plan’s Hida Kizuna-san. Age is 17 years old, transfer school year is second year high school, correct?”
Uwa, I really am being transfered.
“Y-yes. No problem”
“Welcome. Welcome to Ataraxia.”
After passing through the bus inspection gate, there is the site of Ataraxia.
